Bavarian cheese conquers the globe
In 1951 cheese from Bavaria is exported for the first time to Belgium, followed by exports to France, Italy, North Africa and even as far as the USA. Salted butter from Bavaria enjoys growing popularity in the UK.
Overseas consumers get to know and love the taste and quality of Bavarian dairy products – excellent proof of the consistent quality policy within the cooperative. In the meantime, “Molkerei-Zentrale Bayern” (as the cooperative is now known) expands and creates a marketing cooperative with Bayerischen Molkereiverband Kempten (Bavarian Dairy Association of Kempten).
